Advice for Heading Into the Cold?

The little Rockwood is heading to Wisconsin in the morning. Weather forecast show highs in the mid 30's, overnight lows in the mid 20's. We will have shore power and plan to keep an electric heater running 24 hours. No water, we'll keep a bit in the fresh tank, which is under the bed, in the trailer. The black and gray tanks are under trailer. It'll be at my sister's house, we'll all be there for the holiday.
Any advice for avoiding troubles?
Thanks...

Air Pressure in LT's on Tahoe

I got the LT's Michelins on my Tahoe yesterday. Look and feel great, we are set for a 1500 mile trip over the Thanksgiving week. Always fun :-)
The guys at Discount Tire put 45psi in the LT's. The door sticker pressure is 32psi.
I'm thinking I'll run them at 45psi, but was wondering what others have done in this situation?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Enclosed Underbelly?

Is this something you 1) don't care about, or 2) would be nice to have, or 3) would be worth paying a bit more for, or 4) you just got to have it?
Looking at the Jay Flight 22FB versus the G2-23FB, which as the enclosed underbelly.

RE: Pyramid Travel Trailer Info Sought

That is real nifty.
I did some searching around "vintage travels trailers" and such for you. No luck.
Please do post some interior photos. If you do a restoration, please keep us posted.

RE: Jay Flight 22FB

Just got back from Vogt RV in Ft. Worth. The 23FB was "SOLD", and it's a good thing 'cause I might have bought it on the spot!
Loved the headroom. Loved the bathroom and shower, both very livable. Fit and finish was very nice all around. More counter-top for cooking, more walk-around room.
Really, really liked it. Could pull it with my Tahoe.
Just need to get the title on my Rockwood updated and sell it. Then get my 22/23FB on order.
Cheers.

RE: Jay Flight 22FB

Thank you everyone, for the informative replies.
The local dealer has a G2-23FB in stock, and I'm going to walk through it today.

Jay Flight 22FB

Seriously thinking of trading our Rockwood for the Jay Flight.
Because ... more headroom (81" v. 78"), kids have mostly outgrown the Rockwood bunks, and would like to have a couch.
Just checking if there are any issues with the Jay's. It's got a rubber roof, corrugated aluminum sides, and wood studs (whereas the Rockwood had aluminum studs and fiberglass sides.
Thanks for your thoughts.

We are very happy with our Rockwood. I did replace the OEM mattress with a high quality Serta.

RE: Rear Trailer Entry Door - Pros and Cons

The only thought I had, was that some state and federal parks have these little sites you back into, where the trailer is up against the forest, a log retaining wall, or a drop-off or something like that. So, it could be a slight problem getting to the rear door. The world of developed RV sites is designed around a curb-side door.

RE: Do I need to "winterize?"

I didn't winterize last year, and it was a mistake. The filter assembly burst, and that was way more expensive than antifreeze. Be assured I will winterize this year.

RE: Yamaha EF2400

Most likely it will not. The Yammy provide 16.7A continuous load. While that would run your 15kBTU unit, the Yammy will most likely not be able to provide the in-rush current required to get the compressor (actual in-rush current demand varies from make to make) in your unit started. And that is required every time the AC comes on. You home power source is very capable of providing the in-rush current, and the 20A circuit breaker that protects the circuit is also capable of handing substantial in-rush current. The generator simple does not have the power reserve.
